Toy-Empire Makes Its Presence at the Philippine Toy Con 2006

 The Toy-Empire Community finally makes its presence felt by the bigger populace during its formal public launching on the recently concluded Toy-Con '06 held last June 17 and 18, 2006 at the Megatrade Hall 2 of SM Megamall. Organized by its administrators and moderators, the online community of the Toy-Empire website made its participation to the recent Toy-Con a success. The formal launch aims to promote the online forum arm of Toy-Empire (see Forum link) to hobbyists with varied interests and comes from all ages to participate in the free exchange of ideas, information on good finds, some ethics in the hobby, and be able to showcase their collections online for the others to appreciate. It also aims to help members to build up and organize their collections. The member's collections and interests vary from action figures, statues and busts, die-casts, miniatures, playsets and environments, anime, mecha, comics and many other areas of interest.

The Toy-Empire community sold very good priced items as well as decently priced, hard to find collectibles on its booth during the Toy-Con. The unique Toy-Empire shirt was also sold for members and non-members to have, as it bears a spoof of the Toybiz Marvel Legends series line of action figures. Many members paid a visit to the booth for support and a little chitchat with other fellow members. The Toy-Con has long been a major event and venue for hobbyists and collectors to convene and mingle with each other.
