FIFTH PHILIPPINE TOY-CON 2006 BREAKS GROUND AGAIN IN THE PHILIPPINE HOBBY WORLD

Green Lantern Corps Collection

One of the highlights of the recent Toy-Con are the display of collections of various genres by hobbyists belonging to the numerous local and foreign-based forums. This gives an idea of a would-be hobbyist on what would be interesting for him or her to collect, A genre or scheme for the planned collection and most importantly on how to display such priceless possessions that would make it worthy of a corner in the home or at the office (aside from being kept in boxes and left to dust.....) 

 One of the Major competitions held during the annual Toy-Con is the custom action figure and custom dioramas participated by many hobbyists who would dare to either tinker with their precious collections with a new paint job or an altogether complete overhaul of the figure, assembly kit or die-cast into something "new" that may replicate a more "pricey" collectible or an entirely "new" item that has yet to be produced in mass-retail markets. Competition has remained stiff as the style, methodologies and judging continue to improve in each succeeding Toy-Con, making it a major highlight of the events....
